Large 8.5 Carat Garnet Ring with Diamonds 14kt Yellow Gold

This is a beautiful multi-gemstone ring from the Modern period. Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, the design features a large emerald-shaped garnet which is prong set at the center. The garnet is held within a four prong set setting and is accented by two round prong set brilliant cut diamonds resting at either shoulder. The raised prong design has a stacked airline cutout visible from all sides, and a simple, smooth yellow gold band completes the design. The band is 3.3mm on the side and tapers to 1.6mm in the back. The garnet is approximately 8.85 carats and the diamonds are .07 carats each with an approximate GIA color and clarity of I/VS1-SI1.  The ring is stamped 14k, is a size 8 and weighs 5.0dwt. The garnet displays a luscious rich wine color and makes real statement when worn.
