Art Deco .70 Carat Diamond Engagement Platinum Ring

This is a gorgeous diamond engagement ring, from the Art Deco period. The center diamond is a transitional cut and is approximately .70 carats with an approximate GIA color and clarity of H/VS1. This is a cathedral-style setting and the center diamond is claw set in a wonderful filigree platinum mounting with beautiful wirework. A scrolling wheat motif travels along the shoulders. The ring is not stamped and appears to have had the engraving removed. The ring tests completely as platinum and weighs 1.7 dwt. The ring size is 6 ½ and can be easily sized. It is a beautiful Art Deco piece and would make a stunning engagement ring or could mark a special occasion.
